"Been down a while now in the bedroom and still has that soft spongy new feel. Far better than the thin rubber stuff which unfortunately I used under our lounge carpet. About half the price of what you'd pay at the carpet superstores as well. Only downside is its quite difficult to cut even with the sharpest of blades."

Review 11 for Tredaire Softwalk Polyurethane Foam Carpet Underlay 9mm 15.07m² Red
"The first time I have used this underlay. It is full of recycled plastic bits which can only be cut with scissors. Use of a stanley knife means tearing the underlay. Feels OK to walk on even though there are small hard lumps throughout. Once the carpet is fitted over the underlay it feels very nice. Time will tell if it is reliable. Red side down and put a couple of staples in to hold it while you cut the other end up to the gripper strip. I found after leaving a 3m cut piece for a couple of hours it expanded slightly by 2cm. Put a couple of staples in the cut end as the underlay slips on wooden floor boards. Cut the rest of the underlay and sweep off the dust. Tape the seams with duct tape. It is a much easier job with 2 people."

Review 13 for Tredaire Softwalk Polyurethane Foam Carpet Underlay 9mm 15.07m² Red
"I only needed one roll of the underlay which as with all Screwfix deliveries arrived the next day. When I began to lay it I found a huge hole where there was only the paper backing and no foam attached. I managed to work round this then found a very long piece of the underlay had a large foam ridge attached to it, it was impossible to remove this so again I had to cut it out, this left me without enough underlay to do the job in hand so I had to go and buy another roll. I couldn't get refunded on the faulty roll as I had already cut it . As a previous reviewer mentioned it is very hard to cut, I found sharp scissors the best way."
