Not for plumbers!!
1 Sep 2013

"Bought 2 packs of this stuff for the purpose of cleaning copper fitting and pipe.
The first pack did a very average job and was very thin.
The second pack was totally different to the first and wouldn't even clean a brand new fitting. It was more like the type of pad available in supermarkets which has a soft outer layer for non scratch. Total waste of time so beware if your a plumber or gas engineer not all 'green pad' will do the job.

Screwfix have changed supplier
12 Nov 2013

"We regularly bought these scouring pads as they were made by Spontex and were good value for money, Screwfix have now changed their supplier and the new ones are thin and may as well be made of fuzzy felt as they are a load of rubbish. They are not only thin but they have no abrasive in them and after one use are in the bin. If you want your washing up water to go green then these are for you as they are also full of dye. Stay well clear until Screwfix return to their original supplier."
