"Bought this as I needed new blades - and for very little more have a saw that meets a number of needs. Very comfortable to use, easy to adjust for depth and angle of cut, and the 'rage' blade does exactly what it says on the tin - brilliantly. Can't yet give it 5stars for reliability,as I've not had it long enough, but would I recommend it? DEFINITELY"
"This isn't going to win circular saw of the year but probably could win most value for money. You're not going to want to use it for hardwoods all day but for a general use saw its spot on. All you need for your basic joinery & the multi purpose blade will come in use sooner or later and works great on aluminium. Money well spent. Features are as you'd expect, guids, riving knife, guard, 45' cut."
"Just bought this saw as a starter saw to see how things go!! Very impressed with how easy it is to use, nice and light and buttons and switches all nice ands easy to locate to operate. I would recommend this to brand to anyone who was starting out on there own or a keen diy'er and didn't want to invest to much money in tools!!"
"Was dissapointed because you assume that when a manufacturer supplies 110v tools that they are a comparible spec to the trade quality items. There is a design fault to this saw,. The saw blade bevels to 45 deg, but when returning the blade to 0deg, it goes past zero another degree. I have never known a trade saw to naturally cut out of square. If i had bought this at full price £99.99 i would have been gutted. But at £50 ok."
"I bought this saw as my old makita had bit the dust after many years hard work, at £49 the saw was cheep and when you use it it feels and looks cheep the guide hopeless really thin metal, the blade went blunt very quickly and saw is very noisy when your using it and to cap it off the lead on the saw is very short so the 110v plug keeps catching on everything, my apprentice can have it as an early crimbo present."
"I have always used Makita or Bosch tools but thought the Evolution looked a good buy, particularly in light of how good the sliding mitre saw I already have is. What a mistake. 1 - The depth setting is by a plastic screw through the handle - there is no way this will last & it adjusts itself as you raise or lower the sole plate. 2 - The depth mark is hidden by the handle itself so it's guesswork. 3 - The handle is so far offset from the blade that any drag makes the saw turn in your hand. 4 - The rip fence measurements are complete fiction - no idea what they relate to but it's not even close to the actual cut 5 - the dust extraction is so shallow that you can't get a vacuum nozzle in there
This saw is a waste of money - i will be buying another Makita ASAP."
