"Bought one of these a year ago, used it extensively, never a problem done every job I asked of it, then one day one of the batteries would not take a charge, emailed Screwfix, same day I received a credit for the full value, next day a new drill complete with all bits arrived, and a charge for a new drill, the following day the delivery company picked up the old one.
Fantastic product, fantastic service Screwfix - It just cannot get any better than that."
"I bought the drill yesterday and immediately set about laying a 20ft x 11ft T&G chipboard floor. One battery did about two thirds of the floor and the second battery finished the job with lots of power still left in it. That was using the first charge for each battery. For such a small lightweight drill it really does have the torque to do heavy duty jobs. Its also well balanced and I would say is as capable as my old 24v Ni-cad cordless.
Setting 1 provides a slower speed but much more torque, ideal for screwing. Setting 2 has a faster speed but less torque so is ideal for drilling. The two spirit levels incorporated into the drill body are a nice little touch and the LED light really helped out when I was losing the light at the end of the day. At £99 I dont think you can go wrong with this item. Sturdy case too, I dropped it from the first floor of my extension and it landed on the concrete beneath the groud floor joists and suffered no damage at all."
"I have had the unit for around 3 weeks and used it to build kitchen cabinets. I am a confident DIYER. The good: nice case, sturdy body, softgrip rubber handle, useful light, magnetic tray and good handle, quiet, 2 speed which is very good, 2 batteries and fast 1 hour charger. The average: heavy unit thats hard to hold one handed for too long, battery life doesn't seem to last long (could just need charging a few more times). There appears to be no difference between Torque levels and so can result in rounding screwdriver bits. For the money there are better value drills or lower spec high performance brands. Its an average product thats fine for DIY but I wish I had held out and bought a makita."
