"Looked through the Screwfix catalogue for a way to fix wood planks to scaffolding. Saw these and did wonder if they would be strong enough as scaffolding is a bit more substantial than was probably indicated in the description. They work a treat, hold tight and not too obvious for the finished result. To be honest, they do work better with a 4mm pilot hole in the scaffolding other wise the screw does spend a while spinning in the wood whilst it drills itself. Great screw fixing."

Review 2 for C-1022 Steel Self-Drilling Screws 5.5 x 75mm Pack of 100
"I used these screws to hold brackets to a Stud Wall for fixing a heavy vertical radiator. The screws passed through the plasterboard and into the wooden stud. I could not have been more pleased. Unfortunately 5.5mm washers are not available but I used 6mm washers to spread the load a little."
