"I bought one, needing seven but wanting to try it out first. It was fiddle to wire, I agree with first reviewer that bigger components could have been used as there is loads of space inside. I do like the feel and look of it. It is a lot smaller than an ordinary British house brick. I can't comment on reliability as I bought it todayŷ . Gs"
"Though sold as a brick light in the outdoor lighting section, these are of too poor overall quality to be used easily within a masonry wall. The lighting unit itself is fair, but the whole thing is let down by poor quality components. The electrical connector is unnecessarily small (too small to accept cores from standard armoured cable); the gasket for the rear panel is tacky and loose fitting and a ridiculous chore to fit without making a bad seal; but worst of all the plastic outer housing is of such weakness that as soon as it is placed into a wall, it warps under the slightest pressure of mortar, making it totally impossible then to slide in the unit. If anyone is considering this light in such an installation, ensure to make and place a filler block, the same size as the unit, in the housing, until the surrounding mortar has completely set, to compensate for this. In summary, a potentially good value product but ruined by lack of quality in some key components. Only time will tell if the perfomance matches the hardware - I very much hope it is better, as I bought 8 and have so far wasted an entire day bodging just to make them fit in the supplied housings!"
