"I had 12 holes to drill in a double skinned cavity wall and gave up on the first one when it took me nerly 4 hours to break through the first brick, using a bolster chisel and lump hammer. At first I was reluctant to buy the 78mm Diamond Core Drill Bit, because of the cost, but then due to time constraints to get the job finished, I forgot the expense.
The core bit ploughed through the rest of the holes at maximum velocity, allowing me to complete the job on time and neatly. There is still plenty of use in the bit and will soon pay for itself on future jobs.
It's advisable to also use the compatible harbour and pilot hole drill when using the core drill."

Review 2 for Erbauer Diamond Core Drill Bit 78mm x 150mm
"I needed a 78mm core drill to drill five holes in 2 inch thick heavy duty paving flags in order to fit uplighters. The only place I could get one quick was Screwfix but I was put off by a bad review. However, I had used Erbauer tools before and found them to be OK so I bit the bullet and bought it. I needn't have worried, the bit made a good job of drilling the five holes and there was still plenty of meat left on the cutting edge when I had finished. The only problem that I encountered was binding of the bit in the hole but I put this down to the fact that I was drilling on a horizontal surface which it made it difficult to get rid of the concrete dust. All in all, very happy with my purchase."

Review 4 for Erbauer Diamond Core Drill Bit 78mm x 150mm
"First time in ten years of buying parts from Screwfix that I have felt the need to warn people about something they sell.
It may seem that this is value for money, but it did not even complete one hole through a ten inch concrete block before the diamond was worn down to nothing.
Heavy Duty SDS drill capable of drilling this size in concrete, correct speed, pilot drill, square on to block, hammer turned off, no vibration felt from bit - made about 9 inches before it was useless.
If you need to drill this size often then be prepared to pay twice as much for a quality core bit or if less frequently then hire."
