13A 30mA Double Pole Passive
4 Sep 2011
By BlackBerryBold

"Bought this & fitted in my caravan for the microwave, so if it has any problems it will trip this unit before tripping out the main RCD on the van.
It was easy to install instead of a switched socked, & easy to test each time before use."

Good product but expensive

"I like fitting these in conservatories or outside power or lighting to discriminate the rcd before the board rcd however I do think they are expensive.
Most customers when faced with the extra in price will go for a standard fused spur and take the risk their main rcd will trip if there are any problems later.
I try to build it into the price but it is a lot when you can buy a plug in RCd for £10. Good product though like I say you only have to buy it once.

Okay so far

"The user instructions are a little confusing. "If red stays visible do not use" ? - "Do not use if red stays visible after tripping" it should say. The front panel extends out so be careful if you have limited space, but it looks and feels like a solid peice of kit."
