Back Draft Shutter Very Poor
18 Jun 2015

" On the basis of having fitted numerous "Quiet Fan" models in the last 18 months, I consider it is a good product in every respect other than the back-draft shutter. It is quiet when compared to 'normal' 100mm extractors. (You have got to really be listening for it to get upset.)
Cannot recommend this product as the back-draft shutter is next to useless when installed as a wall mount. The back-draft shutter works perfectly when ceiling mounted, but It is unlikely that you would want to ceiling mount the pull cord version of this product., "

A bit flimsy

" Bought this despite reading the pull switch was delicate and yes! it broke within 5 mins of screwing the top plate on! However, it was easily fixed by tying the cord to the switch instead of the flimsy bit of plastic supplied. Otherwise seems OK but only just fitted it so cannot comment on reliability. "

Poor design and manufacture

" Pull cord broke on first switch on. Routing for pull cord is obstructed by plastic moulding on frame of fan. Back draft shutter not effective. Very poor extraction. "
