With slides and heads made from unbreakable SG Iron, this Clamp will always take the strain. Flat-bottomed slides and heads allow it to stand unsupported. Steel main screw applies pressure quickly and smoothly.

"A very useful clamp. It is very strong, the screw thread works smoothly, it stands up on the bench if necessary and full adjustment is easy and quick. You will need more of these than you think! Best purchased in pairs, in my opinion."

Great clamp

"I have 6 Irwin sash clamps now in different sizes and they are the envy of the local builders in France where I use them.
They seem expensive compared to many alternatives, but the slide and head of the clamps stay parallel under pressure keeping the wood straight which is what you expect from a clamp, (cheaper clamps don't do this).
The adjustment pin that goes through the slider bar (same system on all Irwin clamps) tends to fall out when moving the clamp which can be irritating in awkward positions so it would be nice to have a locking clip for that. The chain on the pin stops the pin from getting lost and the latest clamps I received had a small bolt in the last hole in the slider bar to stop the sliding foot coming off accidentally which is good."

Must have for the woodworker

"I have several sizes of the Record clamps, which I use continually for gluing, laminating, furniture repair and straightening pieces of wood. The clamps are the most capable devices I've used, and can deliver the greatest pressure experienced to date, without bending or slippng. With the use of extension bars, they become even more versatile and adaptable in the shop for any number of applications. Their design makes them easy to adjust and store, as well."
