"Living in a exposed seaside location these are value for money for anti corrosion .Watch the torque on your driver /drill as these screws are "soft" and you will wind head off .use a pilot drill or clearance first.Don't think its poor manufacture its just stainless of this type is easy to over drive with the new powerful torque drills"
"Excellent product because of where i use these screws they are a Godsend. Not affected by moisture so no rusting, and there is nothing worse than trying to undo a rusty screw. I have to watch the torque setting when installing as i have had a couple over the years shear the head off, so keep the torque low until home. Then no problems. Dont forget a pilot hole will also save any embarressment. Great piece of kit."
"Already bought 2 grab packs of these when they were on offer. Used quite a lot of them to refasten the fence slats in the garden. Much better than the original nails. Been out there for 4 months now, still look like new. Easy to drive, self starting, couldn't ask for more. This case is very sturdy and means all my screws are organised."
"Turbo range of screws are excellent and these seem to be of similar quality. This is the first time I have had the need to use stainless steel screws, but it was in the spec!
This multi pack is in a great case that looks as though it should stand a bit of abuse, that no doubt it will get over time. It contains a good range of screw sizes, should cover most needs. Much better than having 100 or so of one size.
"These grade A2 stainless steel screws are exceptionally strong and easy to use. The very sharp self-starting tip negates the need for a pre-drilled pilot hole and the cutting edges of the screw shaft drive it quickly and effortlessly into the wood. The screws can also be driven in close to the edge of the wood without it splitting - which is an added bonus."
"These screws are excellent quality and value and I have used them many times. They look exactly the same, years after they were installed. I will not use anything other than Stainless Steel Screws outdoors."
"The only way to buy the small stainless screws is in a set like this. However the larger screws are useful sizes as well so no problem. One of the earlier reviews does list all the contents - unlike the web page. You MUST drill a pilot hole or use a normal larger screw first otherwise - being stainless - you will either snap the head off or chew it up."
"A real bargain for such a comprehensive set of stainless fixings. Not meaning to patronise but there would appear to be a number of reviewers who seem unfamiliar with the characteristics of stainless steel. The trade-off for corrosion resistance (due to added chromium and nickel, amongst others) is a reduction in tensile strength, hence you will need to pre-drill and countersink or they will tend to break. The benefit to this one-off extra effort is to have fixings that won't rot in outdoor situations and can be removed if necessary at a later date. Usually you have to pay a lot more for this hike in material quality so this set really is excellent value."
"I've used these Turbo Ultra screws previously when building an extension roof and they're great. Good thread and easy driving but most of all, non rusting so you don't get brown stains down your walls or on your fascias. We've recently moved to a coastal site so the atmosphere is fairly agressive. I wouldn't use anything other than stainless outdoors and these screws are great value at the moment too. Only reason I dropped a star on reliability is the heads are a little softer than the standard pasivated screws so if your driver bit is a little worn, it's much easier to chew up the heads on these."
