Best switch you'll ever make!

" Used this to make sure bathroom fan doesn't wake us up at night when light switched on!
Simple to use - I just wired the bathroom fan through this switch. The fan only comes on when there is steam - the fan still kicks in if shower used in the morning when no lights are on - and at night if light switched on .....fan stays off...unless you take a shower!
Excellent for a house with teenagers or for rented properties. Saves noise, electricity and keeps bathroom steam free - what's not to like!
You have to play around with it to get it adjusted right so it comes on when you want it and only for as long as you want - but that's easy. I used it with recessed pattress to make it flush with ceiling. Excellent product.

" I installed one of these in my bathroom over 2 years ago because I couldn't trust my wife to switch on the extractor fan every time she used the shower. Also, lots of humidity builds up when the bath is used or hot taps in the sink are steaming away and we did have a mould problem.
It takes a bit of trial and error adjustment on the settings to get the desired humidity response but I set it to burst into life about 5 seconds after the hot shower is switched on and I keep the timing at the minimum - about 30 seconds I think.
Expensive but very good. Ideal if you are a landlord and your tenants don't open a window or switch the extractor fan off because they don't want it on at night when they switch the bathroom light on - or they simply don't care about steaming the house up and damaging it - this way they have no choice and the fan doesn't wake people up ant night - unless they have a shower! Poor Humidity Control
22 Apr 2013

" This humidistat will contantly cycle your fan 30 seconds on / 10 seconds off for as long as the ambient humidity remains above your setpoint. Below the setpoint the fan will remain off as expected.
If your switched line circuit is energised, then the fan behaves as expected.
This is either a flawed design, or I have a faulty product. "
