"Not the most demanding product review but, it is nice to buy something simple at a good price that does what you want. The knockouts are well positioned and the sliding wings make fitting very easy. I was fitting into 15mm thick material, just made it BUt I can see that with a little modification you could use these in even deeper material."
"It's a neat little box with a simple and effective fixing mechanism. There is obviously the opportunity for your face plate to not fit flush against the wall if your faceplate does not have a return edge (eg the stainless flat plates) but all drywall boxes have this feature. Not the cheapest available but the cheapest are nasty and fiddly to use."
"These are definitely the best boxes but you need to remember that, unlike some of the others, the yellow tabs need extra depth behind the box as they're fitted. Usually this isn't a problem. Otherwise they're great and the tabs lock into place so that when you push the screws in they don't just slide back."
"Great little box. very nice quality, reasonable price. nice big cutouts that popout easily with a blade leaving no nasty edges.
Only 1 small warning. The lugs that stop the box coming out of the wall after fixing, stop 6mm short of the top of the box. This means that if your pasterboard or hardboard wall is less than 6mm thick you will have slack movement where you can pull the box out of the wall slightly after fixing!
To avoid this use small packers for thinner walls either side of the box on the inside of the wall to make up the difference so the fixing lugs have somthing to bite on.
All their boxes appear to have this 6mm limit which is daft, 2 more mil and you could use on any wall asis!
"Bought two of these to move some sockets, 45mm is probably best for electrical outlets as there Is more room for wiring behind the socket but 35mm was great for a TV outlet, clipped into the cut plasterboard with no problems."
