"Unlike other makes of dry lining box - where the threaded lugs flap about and can come adrift - these Appleby units have a good positive action that holds the lug in place up against the back of the plasterboard. This means that when you come to fit the accessory, the lug stays where it should, rather than moving back as you locate the screws."
"I purchased these cavity Socket boxes to replace another brand which the lugs snapped off as soon as they were used. not only was the quality superb but when I checked the price against my local Electrical Wholesaler they were £1 per box cheaper. That's a massive saving. Thank you"
"Good back box. Nice solid plastic. The clips that snap in behind the wall are strong and snap in place securely. Knock outs are easily removed with a knife and don't take out chunks of the box or leave sharp edges. Threads for the face plate screws have a tapered entry for easy location and the threads seems good quality. Overall I'd get these over other products and as always a cracking service from Screwfix"
"Bought these to fit some USB double sockets which are deeper than usual but also used for standard sockets and the extra space is useful to make the job easer. Just make sure there is space in the wall to fit them."
"These dry linig boxes are great value. Actually I have installed them in wood panelled walls 12mm thick. Same principle though as dry wall or plaster board (whatever you want to call it). I have fitted 18 of these in a cabin / studio for various purposes and they do the job. Easy fitting, nuff said!
I also used these to fit double gang accessory facias (for Studio cabling), and OK the access for the cables was a bit tight, but this is not a normal use for these... For the mains plug sockets they were perfectly fine!"
