"Needed to change a cheaper valve that was weeping from the spindle. Dripped onto the ceiling below causing a damp patch and I now have to re-decorate. So, it pays to go for quality and this is the bees knees - smooth action, full bore and well engineered. Screwfix could be a bit more informative on the meaning of the red, blue and yellow handles. Had to go to the Pegler website to be sure of the right one for hot water."
"Bought this to replace an old valve which wasn't opening properly, causing air locks in the shower. This Pegler valve opens to give full flow, and is easy to use. Solved our shower problem. Also easy to fit."
"These full flow valves are excellent. They are well made and do not stick. The ability to turn them off with a quarter turn and have a visual indication of whether they are on or off is very useful. They are a bit more expensive that some others but you get what you pay for (only if you are lucky)."
"This valve is a well made piece of equipment, fit and forget until you need to isolate, this is a good make, does not tend to seize even after being left on for a long time, it will not let you down."
"Have fitted several of these before, easy to do and boringly reliable which it needs to be when fitting them to 40 od bedrooms in a country hotel. Its is critical that the work on the rare occasion there is a problem in a room."
"After years of problems with gate valves that don't close completely over time, I went for Pegler valves to provide shut off points to and from shower pump as well as on cold feed pipes .
I like the feel when the lever is operated and they did not leak after fitting - a first for me.The shut off is fast and absolute- just like a stop valve is meant to be. Hard to imagine anything better out there. I believe in spending that little bit more for quality to minimise hassles from product deficiencies developing a year or two later."
"Using these as part of a complete re-furbish. chose them specifically for the full bore feature and have had many problems in the past with alternative gate valves not shutting off fully. Hopefully these will do the trick."
