"Read the 2 existing reviews before deciding to give these a go. I bought 3 to replace 10 mains powered pillar lights that were connected to a PIR. They are small...or rather, compact, but I see that as an advantage as they don't stick out so they don't get knocked, and they are unobtrusive.
The size of the unit actually does not compare to the light emitted. The ribbons of light that remain on when it gets dark give a welcoming glow. The radius of the PIR means it picks up movement before you need the light so you are not fumbling around in the dark. 3 of these amply cover my long driveway that previously took 10 mains powered lights to cover.
Fixing is easy - just one screw then the light hooks on. Probably my only negative is that, with just 1 screw hole, if knocked, it will not hang straight, but a simple tweak would set it straight again and they are so light weight that it wouldn't come to any harm if knocked off the wall.
Would give 5 stars but only had them a few days so can't comment on how long they will last but neighbours are already wanting to find out where they can get them!"

Review 2 for LAP Solar Powered LED Bulkhead with PIR & Photocell Silver
"Make sure you check the size of this before you buy. I didn't, and I'd assumed it was somewhat bigger than it actually is!
However, this is a well-built, solid little aluminium unit with decent features. The two horizontal strips act as pilot lights, so even when the PIR isn't triggered you can still see the thing. As you approach, the PIR triggers a directional downward LED that lights your way.
Given it's solar powered, it's not going to be floodlight strength, but it will light your way cheerfully along a path.
Be aware that one on its own looks a bit forlorn; I'll probably be buying a couple more at some stage to make a bit more of a feature out of them.
Most garden solar stuff seems to last one season and then degrade to the point of uselessness. This seems well put together so I'm more optimistic than usual that it'll still be in use in a couple of years' time."
