"Bought one to provide a temporary solution to lighting a landing in a family house - awkward light switch placement meant we wandered around in the dark...
I expected to replace batteries fairly often and originally planned to install an extra switch ASAP. The batteries lasted around 4 months even with quite frequent operation. It's economical enough in batteries and effective enough in operation that I'll not bother with that extra switch...
Fixing is a choice of screw, double-sided sticky pad (supplied) or a built-in magnet. The lamp slides off its bracket for battery replacement - very convenient.
The light level is perfectly adequate for safely navigating around a fair size domestic landing. The unit does not operate unnecessarily if there's enough other light around.
I've installed a couple more now and the landing/stairs/entrance hall all have completely automatic lighting more than adequate for safely getting about.
Overall, a well thought out and useful product."

Review 2 for Osram Spylux LED Sensor Light White 0.23W
"Bought this to come on in the night when a bedroom door opens as the stairs are really steep. I was concerned that it may not be very bright but was pleasantly surprised by how well it illuminated the area in question so you can get to the light switch. It picks up the slightest movement and comes on and stays on for maybe about 30 seconds, only activates in low light conditions. Very small and neat but seems pretty robust and well made. Has 3 modes, off, on and auto. Also comes with batteries (3no. aaa). Very pleased with it especially as the mains alternatives seem very costly."

Review 3 for Osram Spylux LED Sensor Light White 0.23W
"Got one for my shed which has no power. Its not super bright but good enough to find something in the dark without needing a torch. Got another one now for my sons garage, he loves it. (but he hasn't paid me yet) !!!! Good old Dad :) It doesn't come on in daylight conditions to save batteries. Batteries should last a long time as LED uses very little power. Hoping for a few years good service out of them."
