"I have just replaced a Siemens 3 port valve, not because it was faulty but because it is 16 years old, it has never failed but I am overhauling my central heating system so I have replaced it with another Siemens 3 port valve because of the reliability of them. It was easy to change and connect. No problems."
"Needed a replacement for a defunct Danfoss equivalent but did not want to change pipework, gues what, I didn't have too, excellent, but, I did have to connect one extra (Earth) wire, so overall it was a good buy, recommended."
"I've just had to replace a Siemens 3-way valve that was fitted 8½ years ago. The mechanism was worn out so that the valve wasn't going to the heating only position properly, resulting in the hot water always being heated up when the central heating was on.
Of course it's possible that they've changed the design in that time, but I suspect you get what you pay for. There's got to be some reason these are cheaper than the other makes."
"Having read some of the other reviews, I was reluctant to go for this item. I did, because I can't resist a bargain. Fitting the valve was straightforward and the actuator wiring was exactly the same as the Drayton version it replaced. So far all is well, i.e. operation with just Hot Water, Just Heating or both is working fine. Only time will tell if there is a reliability issue as mentioned by others."
"I fitted a new CMV322 in February, replacing a Siemens valve (without detachable actuator) that had served well for over 20 years. Unfortunately, the new actuator failed within a few weeks. I have hopes for its replacement, but for obvious reasons, can't rate it highly or recommend it, even though this may have been an unusual case. Screwfix replaced the unit without quibble."
"The 3 way valve might be on special offer but do not be persuaded. Screwfix didn't have my preferred choice so I selected the Siemen's unit ( good brand name) and lived to regret it. The unit didn't work properly because the detachable actuator setting was not and could not be aligned to the valve settings. Reading the other reviews this is not a one off and could be a batch issue so avoid as it cost me half a day."
