"Contrary to another review, I use these plugs all the time. They have never failed when used correctly. Other than insufficient compression, there are three reasons why a plug won't grip the cable correctly: 1) too much braid is folded back over the outer jacket. 2) the cable isn't pushed home correctly 3) it's the wrong diameter cable. These work best with high quality ultra low loss WF100 cables @ 6.55+mm diameter. Thinner cables such as 6.4mm Labgear PF100 may work but you'll need to be more careful when fitting."
