"Bought this to preserve the wood of a new Log Cabin Summerhouse. Soaks in really well without staining; highlighting the grain of the new wood. Not too smelly either, but used it outside in a well ventilated space. Can't comment on reliability as only just used it, but hopefully it will work well. Recommended."
"I bought this to preserve the wood of a new 12 x 10 summerhouse. It is really easy to apply - I used a normal garden pressurised spray. I got one and a half coats out of the 5 litres, so need to collect some more, but it is a large building. No change in colour of the wood and leaves a nice even finish without runs. Recommended."
"Bought this to varnish a wooden arbour in preparation for harsher climate over winter. Dries quickly - OK to apply an extra coat after 1-2 hours. Used two coats on existing original wood and looks a good job."
"Goes on easily, soaks into end grain very well, dries pretty quickly, and doesn't affect the appearance of the wood. Just bought my second 5 litre tin in a few weeks whilst I'm completing a decking project - so have used lots of this wood preserver on the sub frame and the cut ends of the decking. I'm very happy with it so far and pleased to recommend it , but have only marked down on reliability because I won't know the answer for a few years (hopefully)."
"This fared really well against a much more expensive product. Great coverage and protection as the title suggests. Goes on easy enough and dries really quickly. Great product, would recommend and definitely use again"
"I used this to treat timber to be used in a garden project and was happy with the result. The preserver was thin & clear and easy to use with a brush. The liquid covered the wood well without colouring and was absorbed into the wood to a good depth. The product was good value and I will use it again. Of course time will tell if it dies its job of protecting the wood. but I am confident in the outcome."
"It's a bit difficult to say how good it is at preserving wood! I can tell you that it goes on easily with a normal garden sprayer. Don't forget to use a mask and eye protection and a pair of gloves. It absorbs into the wood readily and dries as quickly as you'd expect from a water based product. In another 20 years or so I'll tell you how good it is. It's comparable in price with other DIY stores."
"This is excellent value for money. As long as you can put up with the very runny nature, this liquid goes on well and appears to do the job. Being clear, it dries with very little change in the colour of the wood."
"This is the second time I have used this product. I am building an 8' x 8' shed from scratch and as I cut each piece of timber I treat with Sika wood preserver., especially the cut ends. It doesn't smell too strong and absorbs very well. Although it absorbs well into wood it is kind on the hands, doesn't burn, stain or irriitate. As it is clear it still leaves a nice finish (which can be stained if required) one tin will do the whole shed as I am using planed timber. I would give 5 stars but it is a little pricey, would definitely use again though as have not found anything better."
