"I have fitted 3 of these recently and they are really good to fit. Compared to some other units that have connectirs that are way too small for twin and earth these are really good and an excellent price. Particularly like their volt free contact so you can switch a completely separate circuit."
"Large terminal block. Easy to fit. Works well. Time will tell regarding long term reliability. A couple of things to note. This item is not white, it is a cream colour. With its angular surface and its size, it is not particularly discrete."
"A very good bit of kit, fits a standard cutout, large easy to see terminals for wiring in difficult locations, compact and easy to adjust, also will switch any voltage, not just 240v which wasn't mentioned in the catalogue, used in my case to switch the bathroom extract but good for many other uses."
"This is the second time I have order this PIR and It is by far the best one I have used. big robust connections on the top remove the need for a junction box making install faster. this has been designed by some one who would fit them not a pen pusher."
"excellent PIR, so simple to wire and install, same cut out as LED spots so one cutter for the job inhand. easy to adjust settings with dials on the side of the product, noting over complicated. and it sit nice and flush in ceiling perfectly out of sight. not bulky at all."
"Good ceiling pir, not sure of reliability yet, only problem i found was the spring clips were not low enough in the casing for a strong flush fitting with the plasterboard ceiling. Half the price of one from CFE."
"I wanted to operate a shower fan without a pull cord or connection to the ceiling lights. This allowed me to control the fan only when using the shower; the PIR sensor comes with a sticker kit to mask the sensor from regions of the room not requiring detection. Works very well."
"I bought this PIR for a large built-in wardrobe I had refurbished so it would light up automatically when we opened the sliding doors and reached in. This PIR has proved reliable and would recommend it. I had originally bought item 80538 so I wouldn't have to cut a hole in the ceiling inside the wardrobe but this became a pain as it would activate randomly in the night (along with a replacement) so returned for a refund."
"The fact that the adjustments are not on the front is a bonus, as it stops being messed with once set, which is good for public places. It is IP44 rated, where as others are not or rated lower, making it more suitable for places that others are not. As an electrician I have fitted several and experienced no problem. Finally it is cheaper than most, so all round good value."
