" Used this drill for old style (1930s) breeze block.
It took some abuse because of something unidentified in the middle of the block that eventually needed breaking through with a old drill bit and lump hammer.
Unless you are drilling through thermalite blocks you would be advised to dip the drill bit in cold water every minute or so of drilling to preserve the longevity.
