"" Bought these for an emergency foliage clearance session, and have been very impressed with their performance - Far exceeded what I expected for the price, and performed well, even when being used beyond the limits of normal pruning usage. " I did drive this tool past it's design limits, as I bought as a "disposable" item to accomplish some clearance at minimal cost. Job done - tool is as good as new - what more can I say - why spend more ? Only possible downside I can imagine is a weakening of the steel telescopic handles over time, due to rusting, so I will spray some protecting lube down the insides of the tubes"
"These are brilliant and I really don't see how anybody in the supply chain has made any money on these at all. I will wait and see whether the telescopic function starts to loosen up as this type often does, but it is more than worth the gamble. Just done some fairly hefty tree work and they cut through everything with ease and they are nice and light which makes reaching easy."
"Couldn't believe what a great buy - cut through even thick branches like cutting butter and cut the pruning time by at least half. Meant even had time for a well earned beer! Would certainly recommend."
"When I saw the price I thought they must be cheap and nasty, but having used them to cut branches of over 30mm with no trouble, my opinion is they are just amazing value. Equally as good as the old, and more expensive ones."
"Have used it quite a lot on some thick old laurel and it has performed really well. Very good bit of kit for the price. It really need to give me a couple of years service before I'll give it five stars - the proof is in the pudding !"
"Just got home with a load of items, some for me some for my son. It was late but I thought I'll try the loppers to shorten some branches from a small tree we'd felled so they'd fit in the estate to go to the dump. Died second (or was it third?) cut. Blade twisted. Not good. I have bought from Screwfix for donkeys years (and still will) so there's no bias."
