Extractor fan that delivers!
1 Feb 2016
By
, Spalding
" My previous experience with cheaper bathroom extractor fans that the original builder installed was not good and after repeated failures replacing with like for like, I finally decided to spend the extra money and buy a real extractor!
Although not cheap, this extractor is brilliant. It is easy to install and it really does stop our bathroom from steaming up. It is also much quieter that the previous ones even on high speed. "

Great Fan

" Tried lots of the cheaper fans - most are unreliable and don't have the extraction power required to keep small bathrooms steam free. This fan is expensive, but worth every penny. "

Dry Bathroom
4 Jan 2016
By
, Rainham
" A well built large fan that needs screwing down, mine is on 19mm plywood firmly fixed to the rafters in the loft. It does not seem any noisier than the cheap small one it replaced.
The bathroom used to get a lot of condensation before installing this fan and now it is just dry. The only real comment is that it does shift a lot of air which means that there does have to be somewhere for air to come in. My recommendation is to have a bit of a gap under the bathroom door so it is drawing warm air from the house. If you open a window you will draw in cold air which cools the walls and tiles so the condensation gets worse.

Excellent fan for bathrooms
31 Aug 2015
By
, London
" It's not cheap and noisier than I thought it would be but if really does keep the bathroom steam free. My bathroom is mid terrace and has no window. This fan though clears all the steam out, even as you finish a shower it's practically steam free. It has taken away the worry of mould and condensation related problems. "

Best Inline Fan
27 Jul 2015
By
, Lincolnshire
" This is the second one of these fans I have bought the first for the family bathroom fitted a couple of months ago and working great and this one for the ensuite, I wanted to be sure it did the job before getting another.
The original fan was part of a kit which made a lot of noise and vibration without shifting much steam/air .
The Vent axia is great, easy to fit, very quiet and easily moves the steam from the bathroom ducted about 7 metres to the outside.
It is quite expensive but it does the job.

Replacement extractor fan
26 Jul 2015
By
, Bury St Edmunds
" Had to replace a horrible dangerous retail fan that had expired for a decent one and decided on Vent Axia as its a good make. The electrics are housed on the top to prevent any possibility of dampness getting in.
We decided to screw the housing to a loft board and used foam underneath to reduce vibration. For added stability we also lightly screwed it into the joists. We set this one up to use the light switch to turn on and set for 5 mins after turned off. This is very powerful and the only noise we get is the air going out and has very little vibration.
Only thing I would say is if your not sure on the wiring then ask a pro. We did have to get some long 400 long cable ties but it was worth it to insure it keeps dry. "

Great Fan
2 Dec 2014
By
, North Yorkshire, UK
" Bought this fan for our en-suite and as it is in middle of house has a 7m long ducting to draw air out. So after 2 years of a steam and condensation filled bathroom along with one fan upgrade which made no difference decided to spend on a top of the range fan. After reading reviews this looked to be the one and after using for first time the en-suite was steam free and no condensation so although early days it looks to be a great investment so highly recommended. " I've had this installed in a bathroom (above the shower) measuring 2.4m x 1.6m, it is very quiet and very powerful, so powerful that I only need the run on time to be 5 minutes after lights off, the room is usually steam free by the time you're dry. "

" Appears very well-made and was easy to install. Very quiet and efficient. Seems a lot of money to pay but unquestionably delivers everything I wanted of it and shouldn't be compared with much cheaper "kit" fans. "

Good fan

" I bought two of these which were fitted in a loft for extracting steam from the bathrooms.
They worked very well. The motors were as quite as can be. The only noise in the bathrooms was the sucking noise from the vent terminals. The customer was very pleased.

" Yes it's expensive but you get what you pay for.
Ater years of a cold bathroom ( windows open all the time) fighting mould, wet walls etc. I installed this, it was really easy, intentionally had a hot long shower with all the windows shut and it was amazing, really good performance on manufacters high speed setting.
only thing, i read it was pre set to over run for 15 mins and it was set to minimum but the timer was easily adjusted.

" We have a large bathroom (40 cubic metre volume) and it does not let any steam build up when showering. The run-on timer is useful but given the fan's performance it may well not be needed for smaller rooms as the fan can keep on top of the problem. Like others, give Manrose a miss and fit one of these. There is no comparison "

" A well made piece of kit - strong base for secure fixing - fan easily removed to enable installation - separate housing on top for wiring connection and timer adjustment - extremely quiet in operation and efficient centrifugal air extraction through metal ducting - installed one in loft above en suite shower and then another to vent the basement in the same house "

" i had fitted a manrose CFD200T which cost me about £45 from a local shop. This was cheap and crude in construction and a lot noisier than i expected, returned it and replaced it with one of these- what a difference. Much easier to connect with controls being on top so that condensation does not fill the terminals, with a quality construction. The main thing you want from a fan (apart from it to do its job) is for it to be quiet, well this IS quiet. It has two power settings which you can easily swap between, but i have not tried the lowest power.
When i walk upstairs now, instead of thinking what a racket that fan is making, i have to stop and listen carefully to hear if it is on or not.

Great Performance Fan

" I replaced a new Manrose SF100T with this far better product. OK it is around five times the price, but the build quality is far superior, it is just as quiet and most of all, it removes the steam at a very good rate. The Manrose fan did not clear the bathroom at all and was basically a waste of time, money and effort.
The timer function was also very straight forward to adjust.
As other review, have not had the fan installed long enough to mark the reliability more than good. "

" Very tidy, easy to set up and quiet. Great flow rate. Only down side I found was the poor quality screws holding the electrics box lid on but that is a very minor bit of nit picking. I would definitely recommend this fan especially for its performance and quietness. Only just got it so the reliability question is a bit of a waste of time. "

2nd purchase - very good fan
4 Apr 2015
By
, Hertfordshire
" 2nd time i've bought of these, this time to replace a cheap fan builders installed a year ago that has already failed. Previously installed one in an ensuite that has worked fine.
Easy to install in retrofit position.
ONLY problem was VA had stuck sticker showing airflow direction on the wrong side of fan which prompted a bit of head scratching once installed!
Fortunately the good design is such that it was a 1 minute job to switch around within the mounts without having to remove and reattach the ducting.
