Great product

" Good solid product. Does what it says on the tin.
I used 10m of 1.25" rigid hose, lifting to a height of 8' & it really shifts some water. Full bore and it gushes out.
Love the float/sensor device. Much better that a traditional ball bearing float because you don't need a massive oversize sump to accommodate the float and it can't get stuck on the side of the sump.
Pricey but good.
Lets see how long it lasts?

Best pump on the market

" Over the last 15 years of working on garden ponds I have tried many pumps but Karcher have always been the most reliable. In particular the SDP14000 because the IQ system is far superior to any float based pump. "

Nice pump that does the job

" After many years of watching my cellar flood, I bought this to pump it out as the water had risen much further than normal (winter 13/14 floods)
It is well built (as with all Karcher products) and simple to set up and operate. I particularly like the level sensor which is much easier to set up than faffing around with a float switch.
It's pretty quiet and produces a good flow at 3m head with a 10 long 1.25 inch layflat hose bought from Screwfix. "

" Does what it says on the box. Easy to install and the IQ sensor works well, much better than a float. Just one criticism, it is a little noisy when emptying the last couple of cm of water hence rating of 4. "

Does what it says on the tin.

" Good pump with variable triggering sensor. Built to last and capable of pumping suspended particulates up to 30mm. Does exactly what it says on the tin really well and better than most. "

Solid performance

" Bought this as a replacement for a series of failed Erbauer 1000W pumps. Performed excellently during the recent heavy downpours.
My only negative observation is that it's tricky to lower it vertically into a sump due to the design of its mountings, but I will get round this once the rain stops! I also have to think of a way of protecting its clever water level meter from an outlet above the pump - the splashing causes it to pump longer than it should do before switching off. Otherwise, this seems an excellent piece of kit. "

Does not drain below 8cm level
15 Feb 2014
By
, GU5
" Only when I read the instruction manual was it clear that this pump does not pump when the water level is below 8cm. I'm sure it's a great pump but not for the water lying in my basement (6cm level). I wish this had been clear on the Screwfix or Karcher website - was not!! "
