"I bought this to replace an existing switch that had succumbed to water ingress. It has included push-on rubber seals to put over the wall fixing screws, a variety of positions of easy knock-out holes for cable entry and little push-on caps to cover the box screws as well. What I particularly like is the little red light above the switch plate that can be configured in a variety of ways, by default it will show up when the light is off (to locate in the dark). It has a very positive action, not like my previous one that felt really woolly and had to check all the time if it had worked. Product recommended. (For added water resistance, I used an outdoor sealant around the holes through the box)."
"no complaints at all, especially when you consider the MK alternative at over twice the price. its almost identical. you can go slightly cheaper, but I wouldn't trust some of the other makes i've seen used. This is a great, solid, well made product at a decent price."
"It does it's job alright. Just seems to be a bit soft as far as the switch action goes. No real feel to it more of a rocker than a positive switch. 3 stars for reliability may seem a bit mean but I have no real way of telling as it's just been fitted."
"Purchased two of these to fit with outside PIR lights. They appear to be waterproof and don't look out of place on the wall. The connections are a little bit fiddly especially altering the neon to the switch mode and using the single terminal block for the neutral supply. This terminal could be a bit larger and easier to connect to. Overall though a good product at a reasonable price."
"Very simple to fit - BUT .... There is no mention in the instructions to the effect that if you remove one of the blanking plugs for the access point for the wiring, you will need to purchase an additional gasket to seal around the wire as they don`t include one in the pack!!. Spent ages thinking there was something missing and finally called the technical helpline.
Suggest they put something in the instructions to make it clear."
"I used one of these to switch the power to my pond punp - obviously not submerged its placed about a metre from the pond. After less than one year it was full of water and blowing the fuse. Interestingly the water did not drain away so not sure how it got in. I am using external grade waterproof glands"
