"Excellent little drill bought for £150, training to be a carpenter does everything I need, when I'm on site properly will go for the 18 volt with the hammer set. But still excellent buy. Only thing is seem to brake the impact bits to easy only use dewalt, and gone though loads!"
"Very impressed with this drill kit so far.Lightweight and powerful enough for most day to day tasks.I have drilled 8mm holes in 10mm thick steel with the drill driver and put 3" no10 screws straight into wood with the impact driver.Im an electrician by trade and I have used these drills every day.Im not sure batteries will last a long time but never been found wanting yet and extra batteries are cheap enough.Bag is good for caryying a few extra bits as well.Highly recommend this kit."
"When I first opened the box the drills looked like toys. I've had them for a few weeks now and been using a lot. Boy was I wrong, these drills are superb. The best thing is, they're so compact, light and easy to use."
"great tool .the frist person on here said it is a 1.5ah battery .this model is 1.3ah .yes there are two models at the same time in screw fix .twin pack --both £149 .one is 1.3ah --other is 1.5ah.-and both differ -take a good look at both ."
"Bought this as a gift but had a look before giving it. ;) I have the Makita set so could compare and there were pros and cons to each. The triggers on these are a much smoother action, making it much easier to gradually adjust speed, compared with my makitas (although might just be a fault on mine that needs some attention). They are a similar weight to the makitas, but the makitas have batteries inside the handles. This comes down to preference, since the makita handles are a bit chunky but the drills feel a bit smaller and neater because of it. The makitas have 1.3ah, whereas these are 1.5ah. The ring light on the dewalt impact driver is brilliant, although the makita worklights benefit from being triggerable when locked and stay on for a few seconds after the button is released, rather than instant off on the dewalts.
Overall very nice and very much personal preference as to which of the makitas or dewalts is better. They are both great lightweight alternatives suitable for most jobs (the power of the impact driver makes it more powerful at driving than an 18v drill/driver). I only rarely have to dig out a more powerful drill for the really tough jobs (concrete lintels, etc) as the drill will go through standard breeze block no problem, and even brick if not a large drill bit. My favourite bits of kit. Still a bit pricey to buy an impact driver but these kits make them better value."
"i have had the 10.8 set for about 7 months and use both drills everyday they are great as powerful as any 18v i do alot of plasterboarding and is just the job screwing ceilings up with a nice light drill! i also use them for stud work the impact driver winds in 100mm screws with ease and the batteries seem to last fine i bought a third battery and reccomend this to have charging while using the others! all round GREAT tools!!"
"This little 10.8V kit is amazing. i have used many brands such as Makita, Hitachi, DeWalt and Ryobi. By far, this little set is so much more superior to all of the other brands. Its small and compact, so your not carrying heavy stuff back and forth on site. The bag provides enough room for all your drill bits and extras, it charges quickly, and more than that, its powerful! The little impact driver is much better than my Makita 18V! it drives in 6" screws with ease! the little drill driver is also amazing. my Makita one spins ar 1300RPM where as this one is 1500RPM. (Better for wood working and metal). My favourite thing about this kit must be the size and wait. For a tiny little set it sure packs our everything you need, and more! if you are use to using your heavy 18V Makita above head for ceiling work everyday, I'm sure you will know how much your arms and wrists will ache by lunch time! Well, this set eliminates all that, its so light you could do it all day with ease!"
