"I purchased this ladder because I wanted a sturdy set of steps with an integrated loft hatch. This fits the bill very well and installation was strait forward. My only criticism is that the steps on the loft hatch part are very narrow and your toes cannot go through like the others, this has a disconcerting affect on those using them. I overcame this by making a hand rail to give extra support."
"Product arrived very quickly, I was contacted to arrange a day for delivery. Goods arrived packaged very well and contents were of excellent quality. We chose this product mainly due to the size of the hatch, which is larger than most, allowing for ease when storing things away. Easy to fit and use, children can now access the loft themselves. Excellent buy."
"Fitted this, but with help from my brother (he's a 'chippy'!). Excellent piece of kit. Loft access needed enlarging and slight (one tread) shortening of lower tread section necessary. Very robust and gives reassuring feeling of safety when used. Already recommended to a couple of friends!"
"its a good roof ladder for the money overall im very happy with it only slight problem is mine had a scratch on it and the delivery driver left before i could check, and had to adjust some screws in it because it was not put together that good in the factory but overall good value."
"The installation instructions are truly dreadful with no narrative provided at all; the drawings aren't much cop either and some of it is in German. It is definitely easier with two people to install - it is really too heavy for one to align the trap door and fix it at the same time. Otherwise, it seems to be a solid piece of kit. Please note that it is quite large compared with the standard loft trapdoor so make sure there's room for it."
"This loft ladder works well and is easy to fit. Unfortunately, the quality of the wood used in its constuction is poor, and the overall finish is, therefore, not as good as it should be for the price. However, once installed it is convenient to use and it makes access to the loft quick, easy and safe."
"Good design but poor build quality. Easy to assemble with reasonable instructions but led down by finish. Loose treads requiring removal and re-glueing, split wood and over torqued fixings. If the build quality were better it would be good value for money."
"Poor materials: knotty pine; M5 bolts used throughout where M6 would have been more confidence-inspiring.
Really poor assembly: screws driven in skew; screws driven in the wrong place; some nuts too loose; some nuts so tight the brackets were bent by the force; catch placed off-centre; screws not driven home; one bolt given two nuts; one bolt given none.
Part missing: stop-bolt missing from one of two brackets.
Instructions skimpy: especially in the area of fitting the springs.
If you've looked around, you'll have seen that wooden Z-fold ladders with a fitted hatch start at about £100 (March 2011 prices). This one's £50 more, but where's the extra quality for the money?"
