Well designed and solid

"These are really sturdy brackets, that when fixed to the wall give a solid shelf. The folding mechanism was a bit stiff, but a bit of WD-40 fixed that. The folding mechanism now works very well. Very pleased, and worth the price for a quality product."

very useful brackets
29 Nov 2012

"I used these brackets to make a fold down work table for my workshop. They allow the work table to fold out of the way when not in use. The brackets when locked are very sturdy and give a rock steady work table.
The only slight problem I can see is attaching the brackets to the wall as the fixing holes have no adjustment available.

Space saving brackets

"We needed a fold down worktop to save space and these brackets did just the job. As an added bonus the brackets have three settings so the worktop can be set at angle when used as a desk."

"Good, strong. I use 2 to support for a chopsaw stand which is quite heavy. Once there is weight on it you cannot retract the arm which makes it really safe when in use."

"Used to support a 3m long worktop. We used two sets of the brackets and the worktop is rock solid when in position. Folds down easily when required. Would really recommend them!"

Good sturdy barckets
15 Jun 2012
By Sope

"These brackets feel very sturdy when in use. The position locking mechanism works well and feels positive and secure although you will have to be able to reach the brackets themselves in order to release the catches for folding.
When first fitted with a bench top I found I couldn't release the catches as the brackets need to be extended a little way over 90 degrees before the locking mechanism will release. I therefore had to leave a small gap between the back edge of the bench and the wall to allow for this.
Also, if the brackets are not mounted to the wall perfectly plumb, or the wall is uneven, you may need to adjust the brackets as they can bind before reaching the fully folded position. It seems this is because there's not much play in them to allow for any sideways movement when they are linked together via a bench top.
Despite these points, I'm reasonably happy with them although they do seem a little on the expensive side for what they are."
