"I BOUGHT THIS JIG SAW TO USE AT WORK EVERYDAY, THE POWER BEHIND IT IS EXCELLENT, EASY TO HANDLE & DEFINATLEY NO PROBLEM CUTTING 40mm WORKTOPS & CURVES/SCRIBES TO ANY TIMBER, I'VE EVEN USED IT CUT A SCRIBE ON TIMBER 50mmTHICK."
"I bought this as I have bought other Hitachi power tools and have been happy with them, first impressions was that the box was a bit small and flimsy looking, so Time will tell if this stands up to the rigours of a building site. The tool itself seems to be well built and rugged. It will be used mainly for light gauge materials so hopefully it will stand the test of time.
"I considered this tool to be quite good value when first purchased, however over prolonged use especially when cutting kitchen worktops the blade consantly falls out of the bayonet fitting and you have to hold it at an angle to go in a staight line. D.I.Y maybe not for carpenters."
"Bought this saw because it seemed to be a bargain, but I soon discovered problems. The Blade locking system is activated by a Plastic lever, It feels as though it would break with any heavy handling, the blade lock itself is very hit and miss!! The blade tends to loosen and can drop out while making tight turning cuts. The blade guide wheel quickly developed flat spots, resulting in a very jumpy cuts. I have now had to replace the blade guide wheel twice in 7 months, not good for a tool you rely on to earn you a crust! The blade has a tendency to wander badly, It is hard to achieve a constant square cut. At 45 degrees, the blade struggles so that it is hard to achieve a cut that isn't wavy. all that said, the unit is light and easy to handle, and it has plenty of power, so it is probably a workhorse in those situations where a deal of Accuracy is not important. Its a shame because I have been very happy with my other Hitachi tools."
