"Very heavy and difficult to manage working on my own so I would get help in future. Very pleased with results and other than whilst in bulk very easy to fit and trim. I would buy this again and use it. If buying on line, ignore the instructions to go straight to the collection point, you'll only wait 10 minutes to be told to go to the back of the orders queue"
"Bought to improve the 'free' carpets (very thin with no underlay!) which came with a new flat. Did the job magnificently - now feels like a home! Easy to cut and lay but some instructions would be useful i.e. - cut to fit within grippers (we did) - tape seams with duck tape or similar (we did) - should it be laid on a paper liner? (we didn't) - should it be stapled to the floor? (we didn't) Recommended."
"I bought this item thinking that it was the best of the bunch by being described as "luxury" underlay. After paying more than I thought for it as it says from £... , which is if you buy a few rolls of it otherwise it is not really that cheap. The comfort of the underlay is pretty good up to now with a carpet which already has 3mm of modern underlay built into it. The carpet fitters who fit my carpet said that this was not a luxury underlay as you now can get memory foam underlay which lasts for absolutely ages and is just as comfortable. They also said that after several years this type of underlay would start to wear out whereas the memory foam type wouldn't so I am just hoping that it will last for a long time and am hoping that they may be wrong. But all this said I guess this is still quite a bit cheaper than what you would get it from direct at the carpet selling places and at the moment is very comfortable indeed."
"This roll is only 68cm wide which is half the width of those normally supplied and not what I was expecting. The paper backing isn't the strongest despite being a luxury grade and tears quite easily -my roll had tears already in it which were there from new so not best pleased. It is also around twice the price of equivalent underlay that can be bought online but if you need it in an emergency it's cheaper than the usual DIY shed stuff. The quality is ok but for the price there is much better on the market."
"Bought this as it says is 'luxury' carpet underlay. However, there is a marked difference between this and our existing, 10 year old underlay which is much better, even after all this time! (cost about the same per sq m) The waffle effect is hollow, which means that there is not much resistance or 'sponge effect'. Cant comment on reliability as only just put it down. Next time i would search online for a superior product."
