UV fly killer

"If you want this for killing flies , don't bother.
But as for Mossies and Moths Zap bang gone!
Flies don't care about light , unless they accidently fly into it , it doesn't get them.
But I hate mossies more and it works great on them.
The other down side every time it kills something the zap crackle sets the dogs off.
One of the bulbs has gone after two years or so. Good really.

Waste of money

"We bought a house surrounded by fields and for the last couple of weeks have had problems with flies :(
We tried fly sprays and sticky things in the windows but hadn't much luck, the house gets hot and has a large conservatory so we need some ventilation [windows open]. I work in the food industry so suggested we get one of these electric fly killers as used by restaurants etc, we've had it a week and in all that time it's got one fly and it's on 24/7!
We have it hung up in the kitchen and we counted 10 flies in the kitchen before we went to bed, we shut them in with the fly killer on [only light source] and in the morning it hadn't caught anything. Useless.
If I hadn't let the box go in the recycling I'd be returning it, total waste of money.
Really disappointed as getting this was my idea.
