" These types of fixings are great for plasterboard walls. I wouldn't use anything else. I strongly suggest using a "setting tool" to put these in correctly every time, otherwise you may risk damaging your wall!
Great price at Screwfix to! "

The best plasterboard fixing

" Apart from a few exceptional circumstances where a spring toggle might be a better option, these are the only fixing I use on on hollow walls.
Solid and secure, but you must use the tool to fix. "

" I recently installed an IKEA kitchen and these fixings did the job perfectly. What I really like about it is that after setting them with the Fixing Tool (its a must) the metal screws just go in without effort, no force is required and this means they are not dislodged by applying torque.
You can set them precisely especially in Plasterboard and they HOLD!
Nothing else will do for me then those.
But you must have the setting tool, else the grips on the plugs rip the plasterboard and it gets messy and you end up with a huge hole.

Rawlplug Intersets M6 x 52mm
20 Jan 2015
By
, Lancaster
" I purchased these today after struggling fitting strip lights to a plaster board ceiling. The ceiling is 12.5mm plaster board backed with 50mm of PIR insulation, I started by using the Spit Driva type of fixings but the lights needed minor adjustments to get level and true and when undoing the screws the fixings would come out with the screw. Very frustrating evening and some very unsightly holes in my newly plastered ceiling. I purchased the M6 Rawplug inserts rather then the cheaper versions available because the front face is larger and an M6 version was not available. I purchased the fitting tool and they are great. I fitted 4 of the lights in 1 evening using the new fixings and cannot believe how good they are. Will always use these use the future. "

Anchor for 10mm ply
17 Nov 2014
By

" Using these to hang heavy things on some 10mm ply wall panel. Much easier if using the setting tool. If using without the tool in soft stuff like plasterboard it can spin and rip the face, but I used to do it that way, now I always use the tool. "

Perfect for plasterboard
14 Aug 2014
By
, Reading
" Bought these to hang a mirror on a plasterboard wall. They worked perfectly (well, the mirror is still up fingers crossed).
Some tips:
- I would highly recommend getting the tool rather than screwing per the instructions as you risk the teeth ripping up the plasterboard.
- Push the plugs into the wall and make sure the teeth have embedded into the plaster.

What's not to like?

" Can't understand why people have trouble fixing these. The fixing tool is essential and a little light oil on the end of the screw works wonders.Have now used them for fixing plasterboard, plywood and recently fixing a thick rubber rubbing strake to a grp substrate. Could do with a A4SS version. "

Decent Fixing
18 Dec 2012
By

" I'd just like to point out that there is a way to avoid the problems in the low-rating review. Yes, certainly the outer sleeve can rotate and dig its way through the plasterboard, but if you grip the lip with spikes on in a mole wrench or pair of pliers as you tighten the screw this can be avoided. Once the legs have started bending behind tghe plasterboard you can let go and allow the outer sleeve to settle into the wall. "
