"I bought the Vent-Axia Centra-T Fan to install in the new bathroom and my main requirement was that it must be quiet enough while not compromising on the extraction rate.
I am very happy with the choice and this was very easy and straight forward to install. The fan has settings to select different speeds and also the times can be adjusted between 1 minute to 30 minutes for the boost.
Accompanying instructions are simple and easy to implement. It can be installed as a stand alone unit or combined with bathroom lights so the boost kicks in as soon as you switch on the lights and keeps going after the lights are switched off for the selected timer setting."

Review 2 for Vent-Axia Centra-T W Axial Extractor Fan
"The main selling point of this fan for me was its low noise. Vent Axia describe it as "virtually silent" and their claimed specifications back this up. The first I got was surprisingly noisy, so I took it back. I installed the replacement and it sounds exactly the same. For such an expensive and supposedly low-noise fan this is laughable.
Obviously I wasn't expecting absolute silence, any fan is going to make some noise, but the claimed specification of 10.8dB(A) @ 3m on 6l/s trickle should make it virtually inaudible. But it isn't. While not loud it's very noticeable. The sound isn't a gentle white noise whoosh either, it sounds rough. You wouldn't want to sleep in the same room or with it in your en-suite. On boost it sounds the same as any reasonable quality fan.
Maybe this is the way they all are or maybe I got two faulty units, either way it's simply not good enough for such a supposedly high-end unit.
The selectable boost and trickle speeds are nice, as is the low power consumption. It's easy enough to install and configure and looks nice. It's not a bad fan by any means, but it falls so far short of the claimed performance it simply can't justify the very high price. If I'd paid £40 I'd be a happy camper, but it costs an awful lot more than that."
