"assembly was easy and it cuts really well. It is light enough to carry easily, but stable in use. I have only cut wood so far and it is accurate and easy to position exactly using the laser or dropping the blade to the workpiece without the the saw rotating."
"Bought this to cut 4x1 softwood which it does without effort !!! Thought I would give it a try on 6x2 walnut and was pleasantly surprised to find it cut with very little effort and with virtually no burning (my more expensive makita saw wont touch walnut !!) Very impressed with this cheap saw as for reliability time will tell .........."
"Found this saw easy to assemble very little setting up only used it for one job so the jury is out until used extensively but a promising addition to my tool kit. The staff at screwfix were very helpful as usual so no regrets yet"
"Great product, although the dust bag doesn't come with it so the room gets covered. THe only feature that this doesn't have which others do is a extendable workpiece (also additional purchase) which you can use to prop up your work if it is long. Apart from this, this saw is great. Accuracy of it is within 0.3 degrees which I thought was pretty good. Might even been the short-ish backplate which caused user error on the angles rather than anything else. Product is very reliable and cuts very cleanly with this blade. I used it for large skirting boards and this cut both internal and external joints nicely."
"Just purchased 2 days ago and used to fit 220mm deep skirting around bay windows. What a pleasure to use! perfect angles and cuts. Easy to assemble and in use within 20 minutes. Should have bought one years ago! Only 3 stars for reliability because I can not judge after such a short time."
"I'm already delighted with this product it cuts through thick logs and tough aluminium tube so easily. Very easy to assemble and I was surprised at how light it is too. For 90 degree cuts you will need a set square though."
"Very easy to assemble, the hardest part was removing the stickers! I have used the saw to cut wood, steel and copper pipe and ceramic tile and am amazed at the ease with which it coped.Lightweight, easy to use, great value for money. It's goodbye to the mitre block!"
"My old saw died just as we started a new kitchen project so time to invest in a new one .I unpacked the saw and had it put together within 30mins. I do recommend buying the evolution bench for it as well to get the best out of it if you are working on your own. The saw is easy and safe to use for any DIY project. For the cost it have some nice features like the laser guide speeding up construction time. I also like the fact it is is British engineering from Sheffield. Vey happy with this product."
"I bought this saw Evolution RAGE3-S 210mm Sliding Compound Mitre Saw 240V as a replacement for one I have just broken cutting logs. For the money you will find this saw hard to beat. 11" slide, laser accuracy, 1500w power. Great bit of kit."
"Used this to put together some slatted shelves then chop up some 6 x 3 with nails embedded for firewood. It coped with both jobs easily, accurate and clean cuts for the shelves, quick cuts for the larger wood even when hitting nails and screws."
"Like the circular saw I purchased, this was bought to replace an older, budget tool. Some self-assembly is required, but it's very straightforward. You DO have to set the laser and fence (using a square initially, then some common-sense!) Once set, it is a SUPERB bit of kit for a keen amateur such as I."
