"This was a replacement for my older compound mitre saw that has seen better days. It's smaller lighter and works much better. I wish I had updated long ago. I wasn't sure what to expect for the price but was pleasantly suprised at how solid and robust it is for £99.99. It even cuts accurate 45 degree angles straight out of the box. Simple to assemble and a perfect tool for flooring and skitings and architraves etc."
"Amazing little unit for the price, do not know how I managed before, makes life so much easier. Great and easy to use plus useful having the blade able to cut metal as well, great when cut through nail by mistake."
"Have got the 255 mm version plus an evolution circular saw . Just wanted a more portable version as 255 very bulky and awkward to move anywhere . Always love evolution and it is great to know a nail etc. won't damage blades . My only gripe would be the instruction about putting the motor etc. on parallel bars . I am not an engineer but would have thought a small bolt into a threaded hole would do the job . Should clarify there is some assembly required out of the box . You must make sure the green spring loaded pins line up perfectly with the holes they spring outwards into . They are triggered by the lugs on end of the bars . If not lined up it comes apart again ."
"Good all round perfromance, and seems a very well made, solid piece of equipment which may last a lifetime. I'm still wondering if I should have bought the larger model (Rage 3 rather than Rage 3S) but have not yet needed to make a cut longer than the 3S can manage."
"Extremely pleased with this saw. For the price you can hardly fault it. Cuts fast and straight at all the angles I've needed so far. Similar grumbles to other reviewers. No dust bag or support arms (these can be bought as extras elsewhere for very cheap). Assembly instructions aren't great but with only a few pieces to assemble I was up and running in about 10 minutes. Marked down on reliablity only on the fact I haven't had it long enough to confidently rate."
"I bought this for various projects ranging from simple wood shelf cutting to small steel work etc. I expected it to have ability but I am really shocked at how well it performs. Thick MDF was dispatched like butter, the laser guide actually works very well, the angle cuts are accurate and the machine itself it extremely well built. It's never going to compete with £500 machines but for a determined DIY-er it's extremely impressive. Buy this machine!"
"Fault with the first drill when putting it together, however took it back to the local shop in Bodmin and they checked a further two new Mitre saw's before exchanging mine for a new one. the service was brilliant and if there was a problem with the one I have now they said they would then do a further deal for me. great drill and service."
"The Evolution RAGE3-S 210mm Sliding Compound Mitre Saw 240V is brilliant, I am very pleased with it's performance and quality building. The price is very good for an item of this quality. Unfortunately it doesn't have a dust bag and extension arms like the 110V model. Very satisfied with this item."
"have used this saw on thin brass, 3/8 ths. steel and hard/soft wood. Not too impressed with overall quality of thumbscrews for tightening clamps etc. The illustration of part location could do with greater clarification and enlarged pictures, think of us oldies please. Have to say for price paid, it is a good buy, and so far pretty pleased with the purchase, and also the excellent delivery service. Well done to Screwfix."
"assembly was easy and it cuts really well. It is light enough to carry easily, but stable in use. I have only cut wood so far and it is accurate and easy to position exactly using the laser or dropping the blade to the workpiece without the the saw rotating."
