the only bad thing is the laser is a bit naff but that dosent really matter as who needs the laser anyway i used mine for my job as a carpenter and feel its on par with the leading brand saws i have owned as for its life span compared to them i can not comment however i feel the price of this saw will balance with the life span of it compared to other brands
sadly i have to change my saw for another brand as i need to change over to 110v so a note for screw fix maybe you could produce erbauer in 110v as im sure it would sell well
over all its a graet saw for a good price and would highly recommend it"
"After some delibarating I decided on this saw and I'm pleased I did, its a great saw. Requires a bit of setting up from new, adjusting cutting angles and such. As with previous reviews the laser is a waste of time and I found the automatic brake sometimes doesn't come on. Which is why it gets 4 stars. Other than that its a good saw, very sturdy and robust, the slide is nice and smooth, it has loads of features, a decent blade and plenty of power for cutting larger timber. As for reliability, i've only had it a short while so only time will tell. If you want a top of the range saw you will pay top of the range price. This is exellent value for what it delivers... A nice piece of kit!!!"
"Purchased this from Screwfix and it is an extremely good saw for the money especially considering all the features it has..The first saw came with a small problem but one call to Screwfix and it was collected and a new one dispatched..Very good service..will use again"
"I have never owned a powered mitre saw before, just a mitre block. I bought this because I'm renovating a house and have got to the joinery stage. I put up a stud wall yesterday and used this to chop some 4 x 2 timber. It's so quick and so accurate, so much easier than using a jig saw. I've got kitchen cornice to fit next and then lots of flooring and skirting boards, and I'm sure this saw will make the job much easier. Having only just got the saw I can't rate the reliability yet so gave three stars only."
"purchased on a budget....laser not worth bothering with, check it for true before use, solid 1st fix performer and i use it to make a living....it get smashed about in the truck and is still in good order ."
"Used this saw to build the summer house with. No problems cutting, Excellent sliding action, only real problem was I lost one of the rubber feet to it, so be careful when moving it. Overall this is a very robust piece of kit. Well made and should last a long time."
"All a DIY 'er could want at a reasonable price. Only had it a short while so reliability remains to be proved, but going by the quality of build and finish and thought that has gone into design I have confidence it will be fine."
"I bought this to replace our Dewalt radial arm Saw. The Erbauer is a solid, heavy weight, well built saw with a good lot of features built in, such as the removeable and adjustable bed extensions with rollers and a nice heavy cast base. The Saw cut straight and true from the box with no adjustment and coped easily with large diameter timber. The only downside is the Laser is behind a removeable plastic cover that soon fills with sawdust, I just took the cover off and that solved the problem. Overall it's a quality Saw at a bargain price."
"The first mitre saw to turn up had to be sent back as it was not brand new! Screwfix got this sorted promptly though so 5* for service. I have been using the saw for both a bamboo floor and decking project and apart from the laser window filling up with sawdust (even after taping around the gaps) it has done exactly what has been asked of it. Cuts are accurate and even the laser is spot on. Test cuts at 45 degrees are good and I have not needed to calibrate or re-align the saw. The only downside is that the sawdust gets everywhere except in the collection bag (ok a bit gets in)!"
"Originally I bought the 255 double bevel erbauer but it was faulty so I returned it and ordered this 210mm saw instead as the smaller overall size suited my workshop better. Well I'm not dissatisfied in any way. I checked the set up and alignment straight out of the box, the laser guide works great, makes for quick alignment. I have attached my workshop vac to it and it sucks away the dust nicely. I'm also using new blades purchased through the easy to understand blade section in the screwfix book. They are simple to change but the one supplied was of good quality too but cutting laminate flooring took its toll. Overall, for the price and considering it was for a home workshop I'm well impressed with the erbauer 210 saw. No regrets at all."
