"Pump works really well with great capacity and flow rate. Built in trip switch is good in some circumstances but when the pump is required to switch on and off on a remote auto system. the swutch has to be removed as there is no by-pass system."
"good bit of kit and cost effective too. costs about 10p per hour to run compared to running a mains hosepipe for one hour will cost up to £2.40 per hour on a water meter. a must to make a massive saving whilst using rainwater for watering."
"A handy pump that comes with an RCD "built into the plug"and a conventional [not 'no volt'] on/off switch located on the side of the pump body. However, the manufacture states that the maximum pressure delivered is only 0.8 bar [this information is not included in the Screwfix description]. In practice using a 3/8 inch diameter hose with unrestricted flow at 1/2 metre head I was only able to obtain 0.4 bar outlet pressure, though this did increase when the flow was restricted. Therefore, if you are looking for a pump that is capable of delivering a consistantly high flow rate at a high pressure this pump may not fulfill you requirements."
"Bought pump 21st July 2010 reurned it 23rd July 2010 .We damed the brook, put 2m of suction hose on pump, primed it go it flow but only when we put it 1/2m above the water level but the flow was poor . Connected 7m of garden hose and the water just about found its way to the end . If we moved the pump up to 1m above the water level without hose connected it stopped pumping. Remember the advert says it will run more than one sprinker. Applied to get my money back. Hope you have better luck."
