"isn't it about time someone designed one that was designed to last, instead of these throw-away foot pumps you get these days? within a couple of uses, the cover of the guage came off. After about 20 uses it started grinding metal off the piston. The guage is one of those that swings wildly until you stop pumping and is not too accurate (why does it need to go up to 100 psi? and like others have said, you have to pull like you're pulling up an enormous turnip just to get it off the tyre valve - and while you do that, your precious air has escaped and you've ripped off half the rubber from the seal. it's also made of flimsily thin metal (as standard) so, when you don't stamp down straight, it will just squish into a pancake. However, now it's completely bust, I'm going to go out and buy another duff one - because you just can't buy good ones anymore."
"This has now started to fail (will not easily slide on the barrel), so I'm not too impressed with it. Checked back to when I bought it, wondering if it would have been in the last 12 months, but it seems I've now had it 18 months so too long to take back (presuming 1 yr warranty). Marked down on value as a result too, as I would've expected to last at least 2 to 3 years. Buy cheap, buy twice!"
