"As above just when I needed to turn water off Old one stuck fast!! Had to go into road and turn off there! Awkward position of old cock almost impossible to get full leverage on tap unless I remove dishwasher. Not having a designer house but an old Victorian one not much space or places to fit a new valve . Found this and now fitted brilliant so far. With just a flick of button/ switch - no more worries. Also have the option to retro fit on this model a remote switch if ever I feel inclined or too infirm to bend Great invention."
"Bought to replace my parents traditional stop cock which had seized. Very simple and quick to fit with the pushfit system, shuts water off at the touch of a button which makes it very easy for elderly etc to operate. can't comment on reliability as only been in place a week or so but initial thoughts are that this is an excellent product for such a great price."
"This is a truely great product, no messing around to wire it up just cut the pipe and push it on both ends. dead simply to fit and use as a plumber i would recommend that every elderly person has one fitted. (this is not a con to get money out of them, if they can turn on and off a light switch they can use this but could they use a stop cock?)."
"Bought this as an additional stop cock to work along side the existing traditional brass one. Problem with the old brass type is that when they are only used occasionally they tend to cease up and are difficult to turn. Even when you manage to turn them they often don't stop the flow completely. Also they can tend to leak from the gland. Fitted this one in minutes. Cut pipe, cleaned pipe, inserted Surestop and pushed together to fit. Luckily my incoming water pipe is flexible so it was easy to create enough space to insert the Surestop and then push over the pipe each side."
"These are perfect for people who find it difficult to grip a standard stopcock handle, which are usually awkward to get at, as well as being seized-up through lack of use. Check whether an equipotential bonding link is required, because you have a plastic tap instead of a brass one."
