"Quiet fan, although not silent. It's very hard to hear from outside the room, much quieter than the fan it replaced, but in the bathroom you definitely notice that it's running. On normal (slow) speed it still shifts plenty of air.
Design problem: it's not designed for cable side entry. My existing cable did not match.
Quality problem: the first of these had a noisy motor -- rattly bearings -- and ran continuously, with a timer fault. Screwfix replaced it. Full marks for helpful telephone advice and store staff.
Electronics problem: the replacement ran continuously, too, until I discovered that it works and stays working provided that when it's powered off at its isolator, leave it a good long time (an hour?) before powering on again. That only applies to complete power isolation: there's no time limit on when the room light (LS terminal in the fan) turns on and off.
The price is good, but the time, cost and trouble of replacing the faulty model lose a star for that, and lose two stars for reliability."

Review 4 for Vent-Axia 100T W Axial Bathroom Timer Extractor Fan
"Note that this has 2 speeds. The low speed is almost silent, but this is half speed and not really of any use unless you leave it on most of the time. At full speed 76 cu m / hour, the fan noise is properly evident, quieter than many but certainly not silent.
Can't comment on reliability, only been in a few months.
Bit of a cheat to have a low speed and market it as silent I think....."
