"Obviously this is one of the most expensive pumps on the market.... but having just installed it, it's got to be the most user friendly. Plenty of settings, easy to understand and clear which one's you've selected.
I'd narrowed the choice down to this or a Grundfos Alpha 2 and decided that the extra fiver was worth it for the insulation block that comes with it (these can cost up to 30 quid as an optional extra). My boiler and pipework is in an unheated annexe so there's no option but to insulate everything in sight.
It's almost silent in operation unlike the Grundfos UPS or Wilo Gold which are commonly installed and it uses less electricity when running flat out than either of these do when running on minimum.
Would I buy another one? No, as I don't plan on moving house for a long time but I will recommend that my Dad and Brother buy one each when they come to replace their current heating systems over the next year."

Review 2 for Wilo Stratos PICO Commercial Circulating Pump 230V
"A very quiet pump. Even standing over the pump, if you were not watching the monitor screen, you would not realise it was running. Seems to use a lot less electric than the previous pump, and can be programmed to suit your heating system. The packaging forms an insulated wrap for the pump, which adds to the efficiency."

Review 3 for Wilo Stratos PICO Commercial Circulating Pump 230V
"The spec claims that it only takes 3W and the reviews are raving about how energy efficient it is. Well I expect the laws of physics still apply, in which case it seems unlikely that it could achieve the head or flowrate it claims with anything like as little as 3W of power. Try adding one or two zeros to that.
I'd love to hear how the reviewers measured the power consumption tat they are raving about."
