"Cheap and simple for general usage. Ideal for diyer's where regular hard usage is not required. Robust storable unit that will never deteriorate when stored in wet or damp locations. Far superior to complex units that may not be used on a regular basis. As price was so competitive it means as and when it starts to deteriorate beat option would be to replace.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
"Used mine for cutting tile trims, kick plinths cornices etc cheap effective little guide, lets be honest it ain't going to break the bank and gives a reasonably good mitre. Works best when screwed down to something, mines on a workmate."
"I bought this mitre block for a small job. With 1 time use in mind I didn't want to spend lots. Having had similar blocks before I thought this would do the job. Here I am half way through and it has just broken. It has cracked along the length on 1 side. I am only cutting some small batten and 4" feather edge board to make a hutch.
Having read the other reviews I knew what I was getting for my money. However this block is rubbish. I have bought Forge Steel products before and have been satisfied with the quality, not this time! Its hollow plastic and even though it looks sturdy it is actually quite flimsy.
My advice - spend the extra and get a decent block."
"As a couple of other reviewers have said, this mitre block just doesnt give accurete enough cuts for anything other than very rough work. The saw slots are too wide allowing the saw to wander so if you need any degree of accuracy buy something a bit dearer and a lot better."
"I know it was a cheap product, But I expected it to at-least be solid, not hollow and so weak that you cant even use a clamp on it gently to hold the work piece, it buckled. The slots wobble so you can't guarantee a nice cut. I honestly think you would be better off drawing a line and eye-balling it."
