"Compared to many other suffolk latches on the market this is a much more sturdy option. Easy to fit with good quality screws included. The only down side is the latch doesn't have a snib with which to raise the locking bar which you do find on other designs."
"Sturdy and well made compared to others and looks good. Locking pin with chain is a useful feature and thankfully it comes with screws! Only criticism is that the latch could be a little longer for thicker doors."
"The suffolk latch itself is really good value, i especially like that it includes a locking pin! However.... As with most products like these the screws are useless! Just make sure you have some spares then you will be fine!"
"I have bought a number of these and have generally been pleased with them. They are the right style for the barn conversions I've been working on, look good, are solid and easy to fit and generally work well. Some issues I've had: the screws provided are poor quality and rust if used on external doors; one (out of about eight) had rusted in the packet - immediately replaced by Screwfix at no cost - the others are all still fine in a number of different environments; one snapped due to a door blowing shut very violently - I don't blame the latch for that! On balance I would definitely recommend."
"We have 2 of these one internal and one external. Internal one is great and looks brilliant on internal doors. We decided to fit one to the new garden gate only to find after a week and a half of being fit parts of the unit had gone rusty including the screws. As this is designed for external application and took ages to fit I'm not very happy."
