"If you are considering an Impact Driver and thinking 'I have a cordless drill/screwdriver so why bother' then you have never used an impact driver. They are not the same and now I think 'how did I ever cope without it'. I bought the Erbauer ERI376IPD 18V and so far it has: 1. Driven every screw into anything I have asked it to. 2. Not split any wood. 3. Saved me many man hours. 4. Lasted for hours none stop.
Can't say much about other makes because this is my first impact driver. But if you use a good quality screw (in my case Torx screws), this tool and those screws will save you hours! Worth every penny!"
"bought one over 9 months ago, driven thousands of screws into steel, wood and brickwork with no problems and will be getting another for back-up. Jud. p.s. perhaps the guy having trouble isn't holding it properly."
"Received this as a present for my birthday aswell as a erbauer 4kg sds+. This driver is amazing it really is I've used it a lot already and it has a great amount of torque. I used it to drive a 6 inch screw into some timber just to test how well it coped and at first it seemed to struggle then the hammer action kicked in and drove it straight in with no trouble! the lights handy too!"
"Recently purchased after looking around for an impact driver. Slightly bulkier than some of the Brand names available, but the price makes up for it. Seems to be well made and capable of handling everyday knocks, but only time will tell on reliability, comes with a two year warranty.
Batteries hold up well and had no trouble driving 3" x 10 screws on a recent project.
The lid on the storage compartment for the Pozi bits within the blow moulded carry case is a cheap and nasty bit of plastic, but overall it's a good value package."
