Smart but naff screws+slider
4 Feb 2014

"Main unit has been fine in semi outdoor position for 2 years of frequent daily use on a heavy oak door. Still looks good apart from slide:
Slider is plastic, the rod wears off the surface finish to expose black plastic and the screw countersinks are not deep enough so screw heads obstruct the rod.
Heads of screws are very soft and don't fit any of my arsenal of screwdrivers - best use your own screws!
Pity there is not an option to have a proper brass slide, I may try making some!
Easy to fit apart from having to deepen the slide countersinks and find some decent screws to fit
