"After just one day's use, it refused to light up again, so took it back for to exchange for a new one. Now the second replacement one has done exactly the same and refused to start after just one day. It's got plenty of gas but you just click away for ever in the vain hope that it'll light up. I'm not going to bother with another one. I'll take it back tomorrow and get something more substantial. I must say that Screw fix have been very helpful in exchanges/ refunds so no reflection on them."

Review 3 for Rothenberger Micro Soldering Iron and Torch Kit
"Branded as Rothenburger I thought this might be a quality bit of kit, the identical iron is sold under other brand names (Draper, Silverline etc) for a lot less. It feels very flimsy & plastic to handle, mine lasted a day when the gas wouldn't switch off, had to let it just run out of gas! When refilled the gas wouldn't turn back on! Rtnd for a refund. Replaced with a Portalsol iron which only cost a little more but is in a different league in terms of quality, e.g. the the wire mesh catalyst that eventually gives up in gas irons is part of the tip not the iron so is easily replaced, and its made in Ireland not China."
