"Decided to replace the old white plastic capped interconnect bolts with metal ones in the fitted oven carcase of my existing base units because the outer casing of the oven is a bit closer to the sides than the previous oven and I wasn't sure if the plastic ones might melt. The old plastic ones (you know the ones that you try and tighten with a coin or large flat screwdriver) aren't as flush as these metal ones and protruded closer to the oven casing than I felt comfortable with. I drilled new smaller holes and didn't really have to plug the old holes as they aren't seen, but you will need to measure the diameter of the old ones if you want to re-use the old holes. I wish the fixed washer/flange was a bit larger in diameter though. You don't want to overtighten them (which is easy to do with the better star head), but on cheaper white melamine chipboard type cabinets they dig in a little when tightened up."
"I have used these with slightly longer machine screws to fasten door handles together in doors where the handle has been pulled off and the wood fixing is lost. A great get out of jail card always have some in my kit. Highly recommended."
"I used these screws to fix together a fat old style photo book. The screws you fine on line from print/stationery specialist are 10 times the price. Although a little cheap looking these did just the job and once penned in black with a good quality marker practically unnoticeable. Excellent replacement product."
