"I had to make a simple computer trolley in a hurry. Drill a 10mm hole near each corner of a suitably sized piece of 18mm thick chipboard/melamine, knock in pronged M8 tee nuts then screw each castor in using a spring washer and a 12mm AF spanner.
Great value castors that run easily on office-type carpet."
"Bought these to move Guinea cage around and they work brilliently. I thought we would have issues with them being on carpet but didn't. Will use another set on the degu cage. These have a better build quality than I have seen in the past and perform far better than expected."
"After a long search i found screw in castors at screwfix. I was told that i would never get them by a large DIY warehouse but one look in your Catalogue and there they were. Thanks so much, you saved my life ."
"You will need to buy a bag of 100 off M8 nuts to fit these casters. Pretty dumb not to include them in the packet. Not supplying M8 nuts with these casters will put many customers to a lot of inconvenience when they try to fit them."
"bought these castors to replace those on a reclining chair. only disappointment was the fact that there was no nuts included, but to be honest at this price I am not surprised. I would recommend these (and screwfix) to anyone who required cheap and simple castors."
"Bought for a telly stand as previous ones broke. They are a bit lightweight but will do for now. It would be good to see a better selection of castors with bolt fittings, maybe a little larger, stronger with rubberised rollers."
"My wife's reclining chair lost a castor on Sunday and the threaded portion was too badly worn to refit. I found these on the screwfix site and they fitted the bill exactly. It took less than five minutes to make the replacement: most of that time time was taken trying to find a suitable nut in my spares box as they are not supplied with the items. This is a serious omission. They should be supplied with the kit or a warning that they were needed to fit the items."
"Have fitted these castors to a reclining chair, had same problem to find washers had to buy a 100 bag . After fitting thought that was it job done! But no four months on three castors have broken so back to finding something else ! The castors have come apart where the metal stem fits into castor , My partner is 16 stone but there is no information as to what weight they will Carry on packet am going to take them back to screw fix tand see what they recommend ."
"I have bought this item many times in the past and it came with a separate bag of M8 nuts. Now I find the nuts are NOT supplied, so how can anyone do the job? Useless! This obviously forces customers to then make a separate purchase of the nuts. Most Unfair. Had it come with the essential nuts, I would then have recommended the product."
