"I norrmally use the more expensive paints from a leading brand, beginning with the letter D, but decided to give this a try. I have to say it covers just as well as the more expensive paints and with the same ease."
"This is the best undercoat out there. Great coverage and easy to use. Takes a gloss topcoat really well. On occasion I've painted woodwork with this and nothing else (maybe two coats). I like the slightly off white colour (not brilliant white) and the eggshell looking finish. Unconventional, but works for me! Great value from Screwfix."
"Had a difficult decorating job. Ceilings with 40yrs of pipe smoke and the house also had grey doors with chips to black varnish. Stain block had been tried on a ceiling to no avail. Ceilings had to be washed first but again most went brilliant white in one coat with a bit of touching up on odd bleeding areas. Now looks perfect and didn't need further painting. Doors and chips covered with one coat. I found it easy to apply and will use in future. Be aware that being solvent based the smell is strong for a few days."

Review 11 for Leyland Trade Undercoat White 2.5Ltr
"I've used this in the past to prime mdf and it was good but this time I used it to put an oil based base coat on the walls of a whole flat that was prone to a bit of condensation staining - goes on lovely and thick and almost covers the original darker colour underneath in a single coat - would have taken at least 2 or 3 coats of emulsion to cover over the old colour as well as one coat of this. 2 coats of Leyland trade white matt emulsion on top of that and the flat is totally transformed. A good quality paint at a good price"

Review 16 for Leyland Trade Undercoat White 2.5Ltr
"I am useing this product on wood panelling in my house in France, the paintwork I've cleaned and lightly sanded hasn't been painted for 30 years, this product is doing an amazing job bringing the base back to white ready for the Eggshell top coat. Superb"
