"Brought this to put an undercoat on our spare room as it was lime green!!! Initially thought it would take 3 - 4 coats it was so bad! 1 coat of this got rid of 95% of the previous colour! The opacity was brilliant! Then we just finished blocking out the rest of the colour with a trade white emulsion.
So pleased will be giving other rooms an initial base coat with this first."
"Have used Leyland Paints for over 30 years. It was then - and still is - the best undercoat on the available market. I use Leyland Satinwood as a top coat. Both products are great and non yellowing - far better than some other well known "Dog Featured" products. I would recommend to anyone. Forget the water based products - break out the white spirits - It's worth it in the end."
"Having just finished a can of a leading, expensive brand I thought I'd try Leyland as the reviews were good. Well, it's brilliant. It has superb coverage and the smell of the organic solvents is not as bad as the previous brand I was using. The paint is more of a gel than fluid but brushes as well as other oil-based paints. Strange that the can says 'Don't use solvents or thinners to clean hands; use soap and water' but there you go."
"I bought this to cover some black paint that had been painted on ply, it covered very well and almost covered in one coat, bearing in mind it was jet black I think it was very good, would deffinatly buy it again."
"One of the best under coats that I have used with superb covering power and the ability to dry reasonably quickly in cool weather. It covered a dark green surface in one coat, something that the big brands have difficulty with. It even survived an unforecast light shower without serious damage. At this price I do not think that Leyland undercoat can be beaten."
"This more than matches the big brands, its performance and usability is great, and the end result is an excellent finish that was easy to apply, and it arrived the morning after it was ordered - I couldn't want more for the money...."
