"I replaced the radiator in our hallway some while back and spent a packet on it so didn't have much left for the valves so bought these (at the old price of £15 ish). Even for that they were a bargain - now I'm replacing the valves on both towel radiators in the bathroom and am using these again as they look the business and are as cheap as standard valves with a plastic knob. You can't beat these for price!"
"I bought two sets of these valves and both sets started leaking within a year. At first they leak around the spindle in in the closed position. You can get another year out of them if you keep them in the open position, after which they start leaking around the spindle again. I dismantled one valve and found all the internal seals to be worn flat. You can avoid a lot of work by replacing the guts of the valve(the brass bit) with the internals from another valve but you will need good tools(a 19mm socket spanner). In fact you can fit the internals from a more reliable valve which is what I intend to do the next time they start leaking!"
